We are pleased to announce that Glaass has been awarded a new contract on the Riyadh Metro Line 2 Extension project, supporting the ArRiyadh New Mobility (ANM) Consortium on one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant urban transport initiatives.

The Line 2 Extension forms part of the ongoing expansion of the Riyadh Metro network and has been commissioned by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC). The project will be overseen by Riyadh Metro Transit Consultants (RMTC), the project management and construction supervision consultant for the metro network.

The Riyadh Metro Line 2 Extension will extend the existing Red Line by approximately 8.4 kilometres, comprising both underground and elevated sections, and will deliver five new stations along the corridor. Once complete, the extension will improve connectivity between King Saud University and the rapidly developing Diriyah precinct, including future interchanges with planned metro lines.

This next phase builds on the successful delivery of the Riyadh Metro’s first phase, which spans 176 kilometres across six fully automated lines, making it the world’s longest driverless metro system.

Glaass will be providing its digital construction management platform to support project delivery across quality, safety, environment, documentation, and compliance workflows. Our platform will enable consistent data capture, streamlined reporting, and improved collaboration between contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the project.

We are proud to support the project team on this major infrastructure project and to continue expanding our presence across the Middle East on complex, large-scale transit developments.
